A Nepali girl who was sold in Dubai has been rescued by the initiatives of Maiti India, Love Nepal and Love and Hope. The 20-year-old, Kalpana (name changed) of Bheriganga Municipality, Surkhet, was sold by a human trafficking gang in Dubai for Rs 504,000. The victim said that Mina Dolma, 32-year-old Deepak Magar, 30-year-old Mausam, 35-year-old Pakistani citizen Samir, and others were involved in the human trafficking. Kalpana, who was studying in Grade 12, was ready to go for foreign employment due to the poor financial condition of her family. The human traffickers, taking advantage of her poor financial condition, lured her and sold her in Dubai.
