Maiti Nepal Chitwan rescues 10 people from human trafficking

Maiti Nepal Chitwan has rescued 10 people from human trafficking. They were rescued from different hotels in a period of 11 months. According to Ishwar Giri, coordinator of Maiti Nepal Chitwan branch, they were rescued from a hotel in Chitwan. Chitwan is said to be the center of human trafficking. Giri said that 368 people were sent back home from the border during this period. They were found while monitoring 716 vehicles at the border crossing and bus park. Human trafficking is a major issue not only in Chitwan but in entire Nepal.
